The Room (2003) dir. Tommy Wiseau

The life of a banker in San Francisco falls apart after his fiancée seduces his best friend. Known as “the Citizen Kane of bad movies”, the film has gathered a devoted cult following. The definitive watch in the “so-bad-it’s-good” genre.
Horrible acting, pacing, direction and screenplay – full of plot holes and silly chichés. The “best worst movie” ever. Or is it?
Fans are divided as to whether or not this film is naturally bad, or intentionally bad – is it the work of a comedic genius? Judge for yourself! It is, however, a great film to watch for fun, or even to study as an example of bad filmmaking. It does have a specific charm.
Made for the high budget of $6 million, produced, written and directed by the mysterious Tommy Wiseau, who also stars in the lead role of Johnny. Wiseau claims he funded the film by selling leather jackets.
