Fargo (1996) dir. Joel & Ethan Coen

A financially-struggling Minnesota car salesman hires two criminals to kidnap his wife. His plan falls apart, however, due to the diligent work of a persistent and pregnant small-town police chief. A brilliant blending of several genres. “Fargo” is funny, suspenseful, thrilling and interesting, from beginning to end.
Excellent performances from William H. Macy and Frances McDormand, supported by the wonderful criminal duo – Peter Stormare and Steve Buscemi.
A film that brings us into a different world, a window to the culture, dialogue and habits of small-town Minnesota – with a stereotypical and dark comedy tinge.
Yet another superb movie from the directional duo that is the Coen Brothers. Memorable cinematography from Roger Deakins.
Must-Watch!
