Enemy (2013) dir. Denis Villeneuve

A man obsessively searches for his exact look-alike after seeing him in a movie. A tense, atmospheric psychological thriller with remarkable direction by the talented Quebecois director Denis Villeneuve.
Masterclass performances in the double role from Jake Gyllenhaal. Tight pacing and supreme cinematography with an engrossing plot and storyline that holds interest from beginning to end. Surrealist, dark and anxious atmosphere. An interesting view of the Doppelganger theme. Based on the novel The Double by Portuguese author José Saramago.
Certainly one of the great films of the 21 century and it’s decade. Criminally underrated.

Enemy Cast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Mélanie Laurent, Sarah Gadon, Isabella Rossellini
